Three traders will soon be charged for unethical practices in relation to the Homes-CARE initiative.
Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission CEO Joel Abraham says they endorsed these three cases this morning following a complete investigation.
He says the offences committed by these traders was in relation to price marking.
Abraham says in some cases traders have also been adding items to consumers invoices.
He says their investigators will be visiting more traders and issue notices to them to get information and see if they have breached the law.
16 traders in the central and western divisions were issued with notices with regards to the Homes Care initiative last month while 12 businesses involved in the Farms Care initiative were issued with similar notices.
It has come to light that some traders are taking advantage of the initiatives by hiking prices of items to be sold under the initiative.
Some traders are also accepting payments and asking for the items to be delivered at a later date.
