It was a memorable and emotional moment for Pulse Energy Highlanders winger Waisake Naholo and coach Aaron Mauger as they visited the burial site of former Highlander and Flying Fijian, Seru Rabeni this morning.
Rabeni was part of the Highlanders team from 2003 and 2004 Super 12 season and had passed away on March 15, 2016 while having breakfast at his home in Nausori.
Meawhile this will be the first time ever that Naholo will be playing at the ANZ Stadium and will also be making his 50th Super Rugby appearance for the Highlanders tonight.
The Highlanders will host the Chiefs at 7.35 tonight at the ANZ Stadium.
In other matches, the Brumbies will play the Hurricanes at 9.45pm while the Sunwolves will meet the Bulls at 11.55pm.
Tomorrow, the Sharks will meet the Lions at 3.15am while the Jaguares will take on the Stormers at 7.40am.
Meanwhile the Blues made a winning return to Super Rugby action when they claimed a 39‑16 win over the Reds in their trans‑Tasman encounter in Auckland last night while the Waratahs extended their lead at the top of the Australian Conference with a 31‑26 victory over the Melbourne Rebels.
