Vanua Levu is being built to become another hub of development in Fiji with government providing the same services that are offered in urban centres.
This was highlighted by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama while opening the Government Roadshow at Wainunu, Bua.
Bainimarama also touched on the budget that it is designed to build up individual families and for this reason he is in the Northern Division as this is part of their promise which is to spread development across the nation.
Bainimarama says he is happy to hear the response from the people on government initiatives and also highlighted that their biggest budget allocation is to education as government’s aim has always been about our children’s education.
He says with elections just around the corner, many politicians have started making promises and most of their promises are not in line with real life.
The Prime Minister says government will not just focus on one particular area but Fiji as a whole adding that the road show is to get government’s services out to the people.
Bainimarama also highlighted the developments undertaken in Bua that include the opening of the Kubulau Government Station in January this year and the $231 million Nabouwalu Dreketi Highway that has enabled people to start their business and eased the burden in travelling.
The Prime Minister urged the people of Bua to make use of these services provided during the two day Government Roadshow.
