Fiji born Waratahs winger Taqele Naiyaravoro scored two tries for the NSW Waratahs to lock up the Australian conference title and their first finals berth since 2015, with a 77‑25 win over the Sunwolves.

A 39th‑minute red card for Fijian‑born Sunwolves winger Semisi Masirewa gave the Waratahs a game‑changing advantage and they made the most of it with 53 second‑half points to notch their highest Super Rugby score ever.

The Waratahs host the Brumbies in their final regular round clash next week, with a win in that match giving them a chance to host a quarter and semi‑final for the first time since 2015.
