Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Gareth Baber will be focusing more on power to add to endurance ahead of the Rugby World Cup 7s in San Francisco next weekend.

The new innovative format will see Fiji playing only four games compared to the usual six games they are always prepared for should they progress through to the final.

Baber believes that with less number of games of high tempo rugby, they will need to change their approach.

Baber also highlighted some updates on the progress being made by the 15's players who are playing in Europe.

The squad will be announced on Sunday and the team will also fly out to San Francisco on the same day.

Baber says that the four players who will not be selected will remain in San Francisco.

Fiji will play their first game against the winner between Japan and Uruguay at 3.53pm next Saturday.

Barring any upsets, they will either meet Argentina or Canada in the Cup quarterfinals at 10.54am next Sunday, they will either meet Australia or New Zealand in the cup semifinals at 8.02am Monday the 23rd of this month and will either meet South Africa, England or USA in the final at 12.49pm Monday the 23rd of this month.
