With different teams targeting to cut off Fiji’s abilities in  offloads and free flowing rugby, Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Gareth Baber says their kicking game is very critical ahead of the Rugby World Cup 7s next weekend.

According to the 2017/2018 World Sevens Series statistics, Fiji is second in restarts won this season with 166 while South Africa are on top with one extra at 167.

When it comes to conversions, Fiji are sitting at the top with 173 successful conversions.

Baber says he is working with Vatemo Ravouvou, Amenoni Nasilasila and Waisea Nacuqu on this.

The squad will be announced on Sunday and the team will also fly out to San Francisco on the same day.

Fiji will play their first game against the winner between Japan and Uruguay at 3.53pm next Saturday.

Barring any upsets, they will either meet Argentina or Canada in the Cup quarterfinals at 10.54am next Sunday, they will either meet Australia or New Zealand in the cup semifinals at 7.40am Monday the 23rd of this month and will either meet South Africa, England or USA in the final at 12.49pm Monday the 23rd of this month.
