A major Police Emergency Operation was carried out this morning after a man tried to bust through the Delainavesi Police Community Post.
Fijivillage has received information that the drunk man who was carrying a cane knife tried to get into the Community Post however the Police Officers at the post closed the door.
He then tried to bust open the door.
We also received information that he was trying to attack the Police Officers.
The situation was contained as a number of officers arrived in emergency vehicles and motorbikes.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the man is now in custody at Lami Police Station.
There is no confirmation at this stage on whether any of the officers were injured in the attack.
