17 teams are raring to go with more still to register for the Frank Hilton Organization Wheelbarrow race that will be held this weekend.
This is the third Wheelbarrow race being organized by Frank Hilton Organization in an effort to raise funds for the services they provide.
Frank Hilton Organization’s Child Support Officer, Ashna Kumari says these services include, physiotherapy, speech therapy and they also provide free hearing aids by screening children in their Audiology Lab.
She adds that funds raised also go towards the development and maintenance of the Hilton Special School, Hilton Early Intervention Centre and Hilton House Hostel.
The Frank Hilton Organization provides free daily services to 150 children including babies as young as 7 months.
The 17 teams that have each raised $5000 have registered to take part in the race.
The Frank Hilton organisation aims to raise up to $150,000 from the wheel barrow race this Saturday.
The race is run by a team comprising of 8 members from each company who will run a circuit of 3 laps around Albert Park in Suva with one team member in the wheelbarrow at all times.
The Wheelbarrow race will begin at 7am this Saturday at Albert Park.
