Manasa Tagicakibau has been sworn in as the new head of the Fijian diplomatic mission to the People's Republic of China. He will replace Ioane Naivalurua who is now the Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
Before his appointment as Fiji’s top diplomat to the People’s Republic of China, Tagicakibau served as the Commissioner Western and the Director of Disaster Management Committee (DISMAC).
He has accomplished a lot during his tenure as Commissioner Western and has been recognized for the work he had done during natural disasters and development.
In April 2015, he headed the Fiji Response Team of 30 RFMF Engineers to Vanuatu for rehabilitation work post TC Pam.
