The deadline for the use of the balance on Homes-CARE Cards has been extended for another month until the 31st of this month.

The Ministry of Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation has reviewed the expiry date, which was initially set at July 31, 2018, for the utilisation of Homes-CARE M-Paisa Card balance, because of the unavailability of approved building materials and household items  with the approved vendors.

In a statement, the Ministry says assisted Fijian citizens who had received their Homes-CARE cards, but are yet to receive approved items from selected hardware and retail stores now have until the revised date to utilise funds loaded onto their M-Paisa Cards.

It says the extension of the Homes-CARE programme is the result of requests received by concerned Fijian citizens who felt that they may lose out if they were unable to use the M-Paisa Card.
