Digicel Fiji has today pledged to raise $10,000 which will go towards WOWS Kids Fiji to help provide for the need of children battling cancer.

While making the announcement Digicel CEO Mike Greig says that apart from the $10,000 pledge, their staff has also made plans to carry out fundraising activities such as bring and buys and Digicel will also give the opportunity to their customers to donate by providing money boxes in all their outlets across the country.

Digicel will also be selling the WOWS Kids pins for $5 which will be available in all their outlets.

Greig has also pledged to be the Digicel Entrant and will shave his head to show the companies support towards children who are battling cancer and has encouraged his staff to do the same.

Meanwhile, WOWS Kids Founder Sina Kami thanked Digicel for their support which will be of great help to the children with cancer.

Digicel is now the seventh company to pledge their support to raise funds for the Children Cancer Awareness month.

WOWS Kids support to children with cancer included transportation cost, medication cost, shopping vouchers, recharge cards, and other family expenses of their patients.

At current 69 children with cancer are receiving this help and so far within this year alone 7 of their registered children has passed away due to the disease.
