The case of the 17‑year‑old student who is charged with assault causing actual body harm has been adjourned to the 24th of next month for the complainant in this matter to be summoned to court.

This is after the defense in the case today said in court that they are exploring the possibility of a reconciliation being made between the two parties.

It is alleged that the 17‑year‑old who is a former student of Dudley High School had been expelled earlier after a record of indiscipline issues.

He was allegedly beaten up by two prefects from the school, however he had before this incident assaulted two prefects from the school.

The two prefects have been charged with common assault and will be produced in the Suva Magistrates Court on the 31st of this month.

Bail has been extended for the 17‑year‑old.
