There has been a breakthrough in the alleged murder case of a University student in May this year.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this morning that a 20-year-old man is currently being questioned at the Totogo Police Station for his alleged involvement in the murder of a 23-year-old USP student along the Suva foreshore on the 17th of May this year.

The suspect was arrested yesterday.

Investigators had pursued several leads and managed to gather information linking the suspect to the alleged incident.

Police had earlier confirmed that the alleged murder of the student took place after 10pm.

The victim was identified by a fellow student at USP after almost four days after being discovered.
