Time management and language were the two biggest challenges that later became my greatest weapons in helping me complete my studies.

This was the experienced shared by Orisi Naivalurua who is one of the 19 student who have recently completed their studies under full scholarships by the Chinese government.

While speaking to 19 new Chinese scholarship recipients, Naivalurua shared that the greatest thing he has learnt while studying in China is life itself.

The 27 year old who has graduated with a Bachelor and Masters in Geographical Sciences encouraged the recipients to take full advantage of the opportunity to learn and understand China and its culture through their study majors and to come back and contribute to their home country.

Also speaking at the Chinese government scholarship Alumni gathering, Permanent Secretary for Education Alison Burchell says that education is not something only learnt in the classrooms and she has encouraged the new scholarship recipients to take time to also learn the culture and language.

The 19 scholarship recipients for this year will begin their studies in China in September.
