Another 40 flats at the Lagilagi Housing in Gaji Road, Samabula  are ready to be occupied.

This was confirmed to Fijivillage by the Peoples Community Network Fiji National Director, Semiti Qalowasa.

Qalowasa says they are waiting for their staff to provide them with the list of applicants that have qualified under their criteria.

He says that they have also visited everyone that had applied with regards to their salary gap.

Qalowasa says they want the tenants to start moving in this month.

He says tenants with 3 bed rooms will pay $50 a week until they fully pay their $60,000 which is the cost of the flat, while those with two bedrooms will pay $40 a week to pay off $50,000.

Qalowasa says that people are and will be paying the subsidized cost, as they built the 3 bed rooms units for $120,000 and the 2 bed rooms units for $100,000.

He adds they had also given first chance to the residents of Jittu Estate to apply.

Qalowasa says for the other 40 units, PCN is still awaiting $800,000 from the government for the completion of the flats.
