Good news for people as e-transport card top ups can now be made through M-Paisa, giving over 550,000 customers the ability to top up at anytime using their mobile phones.

This was highlighted by Vodafone Fiji Regional Chief Executive Officer, Pradeep Lal during the e-Transport Update media conference this morning held at the Vodafone Headquarters.

Lal says that they are planning to add more new features and functionality to e-transport to improve services to the public adding that vending machines will also be introduced soon.

He says that discussions are still underway with banks in Fiji to enable e-transport card top up through customer bank accounts and ATMs.

Lal also stated that they have increased top up Agents across the country, with over 1,300 agents registered.

Since the introduction of M-Paisa services, the mobile agents are now available at all major bus stations in the country and have set up rural agents in more remote locations, bringing new business and employment opportunities to the public.
