Minister for Economy and Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed‑Khaiyum has stressed that the business community in Fiji needs to think outside the box.

Sayed‑Khaiyum highlighted this after he was questioned at the Fiji Chamber of Commerce Business Forum whether reducing the gap between the rich and the poor means taxing the rich people more in the next few years.

The Minister for Economy says this is an obsession with direct taxation.

Sayed‑Khaiyum says that there are still many tax evaders in Fiji.
