The Real Estate Industry in Fiji currently owes $3.3 million in tax.

This was highlighted by Fiji Revenue and Customs Service Chief Assessor Mohammed Hanif while speaking to Real Estates Agents and Salespersons during the 2018 Real Estate Conference.

Hanif says real estates agents and salespersons have been told to do the right thing and that is to declare and pay their tax.

He highlighted that the Real Estate Industry has a pending Income Tax Return of $1.3 million from 53 tax payers and a VAT arrears of $2 million from 65 taxpayers.
