A man who was charged for indecent assault has been acquitted by the Nausori Magistrates Court today.
It was alleged that Ram Roop allegedly indecently touched a woman on the 9th of April 2016 at a supermarket in Nausori.
The woman had testified that he had touched her indecently while she was at the counter facing the cashier and ran away.
Roop’s lawyer Kunal Singh had suggested to the complainant that if she was facing the counter she could not have seen the person who had touched her and ran away and the complainant had agreed.
Roop’s wife had testified that on the day of the alleged incident he was at home as he was suffering from diarrhea.
