Fiji Airways Drua Coach Senirusi Seruvakula says that the Drua players cannot afford to be penalized for their simple mistakes when they take on a side like the Canberra Vikings this weekend.
Seruvakula says that the Drua had accumulated 11 penalties in last week’s game with handling and tackling errors and a yellow card in their 48‑7 win over the NSW Country Eagles.
He says that they need to start playing smart rugby as this is what the Australian teams are doing.
Seruvakula says that the Australian teams have been studying the Drua in their previous games and they will push the Drua to make basic mistakes.
He says that the Fiji Drua will be working to strengthen these weak aspects through out their training this week.
The Drua now lead the NRC points table with 19 points followed closely by the Western Force with 18 points and in third place is the Canberra Vikings with 17 points.
The Drua will face Canberra Vikings at 3pm Saturday at Churchill Park.
