Mal Meninga has named Greg Inglis as the new Australian rugby league team captain for the tests against New Zealand and Tonga in Auckland this month.
Inglis replaces Cameron Smith, who retired earlier in the year from representative football.
The squad also includes four debutants in fullback James Tedesco, centre Latrell Mitchell, hooker Damien Cook and utility Tyrone Peachey.
Meninga says this is a new era for the Kangaroos it is a very exciting one, based on the talent available.
Other top players included are Daly Cherry‑Evans, Cameron Munster, Valentine Holmes, Boyd Cordner, Aaron Woods and Jordan McLean.
