The trial of two men alleged to have robbed items worth more than $43,000 has started before High Court Judge Justice Salesi Temo.

Asesela Nuibasaga and Samisoni Waqavatu are charged with one count of aggravated robbery each.

It is alleged the two men with others robbed items including a steel safe, liquor, jewelry, clothes, a mobile phone and a Suzuki van worth $43,200 from the complainant.

The alleged incident occurred in Samabula.

The trial will continue today.
