Police investigators will pursue the issue of negligence after the body of a 2‑year‑old girl was found in a creek near Sawani village yesterday.

Police say that the post mortem is yet to be conducted to ascertain the cause of death as investigations continue.

The victim was reported missing by her father on Friday night.

Police say the search conducted proved negative and at first light yesterday, the search resumed where her body was discovered in a creek.
