28‑year‑old Rajiv Krishan Padyachi has pleaded not guilty to one count of attempted murder before High Court Judge Justice Thushara Rajasinghe.
Padyachi is alleged to have attempted to murder his partner on the 15th of last month.
He allegedly tried to drown his partner while swimming in Colo-i-Suva.
A team of police officers heard the woman’s cry for help and managed to save her and arrested the accused.
The woman sustained injuries during the alleged incident.
A Domestic Violence Restraining Order has been issued against the 28-year-old man.
The case has been adjourned to the 6th of next month.
