Suva lawyer Shazran Abdul Lateef’s counsel Devanesh Sharma has written to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to reconsider the charges laid against his client.

Lateef appeared before Suva Magistrate Liyanage Wickramasekara.

Sharma said that they feel that there are grounds to quash the charges.

Lateef was allegedly found in possession of 0.0136 grams of methamphetamine on the 7th of August this year.

The case has been adjourned to the 21st of next month for mention.
