Nausori Town Council CEO Akhtar Ali has been sent on leave.
Ali has confirmed this to Fijivillage.
When asked for an official confirmation, Local Government Minister Parveen Bala referred all questions to the Permanent Secretary Joshua Wycliffe.
We have sent questions to Wycliffe and a response is expected soon.
We have also asked Wycliffe on the status of Nasinu Town Council CEO, Lute Berends as there is word that he has resigned.
When contacted, Berends stated that all media queries have to go through the Ministry of Local Government and did not comment further.
