Two men have died on our roads after the vehicle they were travelling in was involved in an accident in Lautoka this morning.

The incident occurred at around 3am today.

Both men who are from Wairabetia were travelling towards Lautoka when it is alleged that the driver of the vehicle lost control and hit a tree at the junction of Natabua and the Queens Road.

The driver and two other passengers are admitted at the Lautoka Hospital.

Police say initial investigations indicate this to be an alcohol related accident as the surviving victims were allegedly intoxicated when brought to the hospital however this is subject to investigations.

The road death toll currently stands at 61 compared to 59 for the same period last year.
