Minister for Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development, Waterways and Environment Dr Mahendra Reddy says he will dedicate 15 percent of his time on Waterways and Environment and the rest will be for Agriculture and Rural and Maritime Development.
Speaking after the swearing in ceremony of Government Ministers today, Reddy says he will dedicate most of his time to Agriculture.
Dr Reddy had previously held the portfolio of Minister for Education and Waterways.
He says there is a huge potential in the Rural and Maritime sector and the people need to stay there adding that people will only stay there if they are provided with the basics. Reddy says he will also give priority to rural and maritime development.
When Fijivillage asked him about the problem of flooding in various areas around the country, Dr Reddy says flooding is contributed by a lot of factors and not only drainage.
