Embattled Wallabies coach Michael Cheika maintains he is still the man to take Australia to the World Cup despite his side suffering a ninth defeat in 13 Test matches.
Cheika's side sank to a 37‑18 loss to England in a game where they were largely second‑best at Twickenham.
Despite it being a year to forget, Cheika insists there are still reasons to be optimistic.
In other match results, Scotland edged Argentina 14-9, Ireland defeated USA 57-14, Wales defeated South Africa 20-11 while Japan defeated Russia 32-27.
