South Africa coach Neil Powell has urged for caution ahead of their World Rugby Sevens Series opener tomorrow.
The Blitzboks are reigning Sevens Series champions and defending champions in Dubai.
During a Dubai Sevens press conference at the Crowne Plaza in Festival City, Powell says that all teams will be a threat to the title saying that Fiji, New Zealand, USA, Australia and England can do it on the day.
Powell says that there are no easy games out there anymore.
Its still the fear of the unknown that has Powell slightly nervous ahead of the opening tournament.
After using 28 players during the 2017/18 campaign, Powell has built impressive squad depth to cover key positions ahead of the start of the ten‑round season.
The experience comes in the form of captain Philip Snyman and Branco du Preez , both of whom missed out the Rugby World Cup Sevens in July, where South Africa claimed bronze.
The side also includes the sparkling talents of Werner Kok, Rosko Specman and Kyle Brown, players who can often be the tipping point between the Boks winning and losing.
The Blitzboks will take on Zimbabwe, Samoa and Argentina in Pool A on tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Fiji will face France in their first pool match at 7.06pm this tomorrow, and we then play Scotland at 10.06pm.
Fiji’s last pool match will be against Kenya at 4.06am this Saturday.
The Cup quarterfinals start at 8pm this Saturday while the Cup semifinals kick off at 1.17am Sunday.
The Cup final will start at 4.29am Sunday.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s team will face Canada at 9.22pm today, they will face France at 11.56pm today and in their last pool game they will face Spain at 2.53am Friday morning.
