In a pre Christmas wedding ceremony, Jennifer Robinson and Iosefo Tuilakeba tied the knot in a ceremony held on the beach in Vuda, Lautoka yesterday.
The newly wed Tuilakeba couple who reside in Cambodia met two and a half years ago. Meli Tuilakeba who is originally from Fiji moved to Cambodia four years ago to be a missionary, while Jennifer who is from England moved to Cambodia two and a half years ago.
Jennifer Tuilakeba says she first saw Meli in church where he was a youth pastor and was in the worship band. She says they soon got to know each other and a year ago Meli proposed and she accepted.
Tuilakeba says they decided on getting married in Fiji because all of her husband's family are in Fiji and he had not been to Fiji for some time, while Jennifer wanted to visit Fiji for the first time.
Tuilakeba says they decided on the date because it was closer to Christmas and it worked with everyone's holiday plans, especially for her family to arrive from U.K.
The couple will spend their holidays in Fiji before going back to Cambodia.
