The completion of various renovations and construction works in hospitals around the country is expected to improve the level of service delivery in the health sector.

This was highlighted to Fijivillage by the Health Minister Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete who says that the Fijian government has made significant contribution towards the health facilities.

He says that a lot of the health facilities that are currently undergoing renovations have been around for a very long time.

Waqainabete says that the Bainimarama government has for the past few years made significant renovations and this needs to be ongoing and not just when the need arises.

The Minister for Health had visited health centers in Lautoka yesterday as part of a three‑day tour of the Western division.

He visited the Diabetic Hub at Lautoka Hospital, the Sexual and Reproductive Health Center at Lautoka Hub and Punja's Health Center.
