While people are busy doing their Christmas shopping and enjoying the festive season tailor Jagjit Kaur has been working tirelessly sewing various garments for her customers for the festive season.

Kaur runs her business from her home in Khalsa Road and is a recipient of the Micro and Small Business Grant.

She says she has been sewing several ‘ Sulu Jaba’ a day for the past two months.

Kaur says she had received the sum of $999, in 2014 and had bought an industrial sewing machine with the money.

The 53 year old says her work keeps her busy and she earns between $150 to $200 dollar a week.

Kaur has thanked the Ministry of Industry and Trade for the grant as with her new machine she faces no difficulties in meeting her customers demands and has even invested in a separate sewing room where she conducts all her business.
