Opposition Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says the late Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni will be remembered as a dedicated daughter of Fiji who served the nation with distinction.
In his condolence message, Rabuka says although there were disagreements with her decisions as Speaker, there was always a degree of goodness, respect and warmth whenever they met or passed each other along the corridor of Parliament.
Rabuka says Doctor Luveni will always be remembered for being the Speaker who actively spearheaded the Parliamentary civic education program for schools and grassroots communities.
He said the sudden passing of Doctor Jiko Luveni has shocked the nation.
Doctor Jiko Luveni will be laid to rest this Saturday.
