President Jioji Konrote led a delegation from the state and the government today to present their ireguregu for the late Speaker of Parliament Doctor Jiko Luveni.
The delegation also included Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and government Ministers as well as FijiFirst parliamentarians.
Former President Ratu Epeli Nailatikau was also part of the delegation.
They were also accompanied by RFMF Commander Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto and Fiji Corrections Service Commissioner Francis Kean.
Both the President and the Prime Minister have paid tribute to Doctor Luveni.
President Konrote has said that Doctor Luveni through her good work has empowered a generation while Prime Minister Bainimarama has said that Doctor Luveni was a true Fijian patriot.

The funeral cortege of Doctor Luveni will leave the MIOT Hospital at 3 this afternoon.
The cortege of the late Speaker of Parliament will drive through Constitution Avenue and pause at the Parliament Building before heading for the late Doctor Luveni’s residence at Hamilton Beattie Street Domain.
Doctor Luveni will rest for the night at her family residence before the church service at the Centenary Church at 10 tomorrow morning.
The final funeral rituals for Doctor Jiko Luveni will be at the Lovonilase Cemetery.
