The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission will carry out an enquiry into the affairs of the People’s Community Network in relation to the Lagilagi Housing project in Jittu Estate, Suva in light of various complaints received by the government.

This was announced by Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum in a joint press conference with the Minister for Housing Premila Kumar and Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission CEO Joel Abraham.

Sayed-Khaiyum says they have been aware of the issue with People’s Community Network.

Minister for Housing Premila Kumar says it is a concern for the Ministry that the project in which the government partnered with People’s Community Network has not been delivered the way it should have been.

Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission CEO Joel Abraham says the Commission has received complaints from people in regards to refunds of the amount of money they have paid.

Abraham says People’s Community Network will be given a chance to justify themselves.
