Former Fiji 15s and 7s coach and future Welsh coach Wayne Pivac is looking forward to facing the All Blacks in New Zealand in his first tour as Welsh coach.

Pivac who will take charge of Wales after next year's World Cup in Japan says what better way to test himself then against one of the best teams, if not the best, in the world?.

He says that it would be a challenge, but one that he is looking forward to.

The tour would provide Pivac with an instant shot at history.

Wales have never beaten the All Blacks in New Zealand and their last win was a 13‑8 effort in Cardiff in 1953.

The All Blacks have won 31 tests and lost just three against Wales.

Under Pivac the Scarlets won the Pro12 title in 2017.
