Police are the awaiting analysis of drug reports before any charges are laid against the eight people arrested for being in possession of substances believed to be illicit drugs.

Chief of Intelligence and Investigations ACP Vakacegu Toduadua says once the reports are received, then police will continue with the process of interviewing and suspects will be charged individually.

Police arrested a suspect last Saturday in Brown Lane Nausori who was in possession of 7 sachets of dried leaves wrapped in brown paper believed to be marijuana.

In a house raid they also found 4 sachets wrapped in aluminum foil and some loose dried leaves believed to be marijuana in Tomuka in Lautoka.

They also made arrests in Martintar in Nadi where officers arrested a suspect who was in possession of 18 sachets wrapped in aluminum foil in a clear zip lock bag believed to be marijuana.

Another suspect was arrested in Shirley Park and found with plastic containing 17 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

Police also searched a vehicle along Khalsa Road last Saturday and arrested two people who were found with 7 clear zip lock bags containing clear crystal believed to be methamphetamine.
