A 64-year-old man of Veisari, Lami is admitted in the CWM Hospital after he was hit by a vehicle yesterday.
Police say the driver was going to Naboro from Suva when a bus allegedly swerved into his lane.
In the process of trying to avoid hitting the bus, the driver also swerved his vehicle which resulted in him hitting the elderly man who was walking along the side of the road.
The elderly man was rushed to CWM Hospital by Police officers.
There was also another serious accident in Nanukuloa, Saivou in Ra yesterday where a 20-year-old farmer travelling with two other men allegedly lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle veered off the road and went into the drain with the driver receiving head injuries.
One of the passengers received serious injuries while the other received minor injuries.
All were rushed to the Lautoka Hospital.
