Fiji Roads Authority says flood waters have receded and access is now open to traffic on the road from Dawasamu to Bureiwai in Ra.
FRA has confirmed that flood waters have receded at the two crossings in Rewa, six crossings in Korovou and two crossings in Sigatoka and they are now open to traffic.
A heavy down pour last night left several roads in Rewa, Korovou and Sigatoka affected by flood waters and restricted to traffic.
The Nadi Weather Office says people living in Korovou, Nausori, Suva, Navua, Deuba and Sigatoka, Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and Vanua Levu can expect rain to continue till the weekend.
This is due to a weak trough that is currently over the Fiji group and another trough of low pressure approaching Fiji from the far east that will bring rain this weekend.
