A heavy rain warning is in force for the Lau Group while a heavy rain alert is now in force for the Lomaiviti Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.
Category 1 Tropical Cyclone Pola was located about 270 kilometres East of Lakeba at 6am today. Pola is moving South at about 20 kilometres per hour and is expected to pass just to the East of Southern Lau Group later today.
People living in Lomaiviti, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands can expect heavy rain and thunderstorms.
For other parts of Fiji, expect fine weather apart from possible isolated afternoon or evening showers.
