Football star Roy Krishna will be given a special award by the Fiji Football Association this Saturday to celebrate and recognise his achievement as a professional footballer.

Former Manchester United defender, Mikaël Silvestre will be present as the guest speaker at Sofitel Fiji Resort in the Fiji FA Awards night when this award will be presented to Krishna.

Krishna has made Fiji proud every time he has played for the Wellington Phoenix in the A-League.

Krishna, who is off contract at the end of the season has already scored 12 goals this season and his heroics for the Wellington Phoenix recently also earned him a spot in the A‑League Team of the Week.

This is not it, 31 year old Krishna’s goal scoring heroics for the Phoenix saw him being included in the FIFA Team of the Week in January this year.

He joined global superstars such as Barcelona’s Luis Suarez and Manchester United’s David de Gea in the team.

Meanwhile, Krishna who is the scorer of Fiji’s first goal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, is also a nominee for the Sportsman of the Year Award. The Fiji Sports Awards will take place this Friday.
