250 Fijians in Dreketi now have a brighter future to look forward to after the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Jone Usamate commissioned the Dreketi Grid Extension Project.

Usamate told the people of Dreketi that the provision of affordable and reliable electricity supply is the heart of economic development of the Fijian government.

The Minister is currently touring the Northern division and has also visited the Nabouwalu Power Station, LTA Office and Meteorological Office in Labasa as well as the Natural Disaster Meteorological Office Warehouse.

He will continue his tour today where he will commission other Rural Electrification Project in the North and site visit to other government departments.
