All teams that will be participating in the 43rd Fiji Bitter Marist 7s later this month will receive cash rewards and the prize money for the winning team will be more then previous years.
This has been highlighted by the President of the Marist Rugby Club, Lawrence Tikaram while receiving sponsorship of $55,000 from Paradise Beverages Fiji for the tournament.
Tikaram acknowledged the continuous belief that Paradise Beverages has on their brand and says that through this sponsorship they will continue to develop the game of 7s.
He says that the $50,000 sponsorship will go to the running of the 2019 Fiji Bitter Marist 7s and they will be announcing the actual prize money distribution later next week.
Paradise Beverages Fiji Sales/Marketing Manager Joe Rodan Snr says that sports in Fiji is always on their priority list adding that the game of 7s also addresses the rising crisis of non-communicable diseases.
The Fiji Bitter Marist 7s will be held on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
