Prominent Suva lawyer, Shazran Abdul Lateef has been remanded in custody until next Tuesday by Suva Magistrate Liyange Wikaramasekara for theft and burglary related charges.
He allegedly stole three tablets and three mobile phones between 28th December last year and January this year.
The prosecution has been given time to file their formal objections to bail while the defence has been given time to respond.
Lateef is represented by Filimoni Vosarogo and Devanesh Sharma.
Lateef has two other cases in the Magistrates Court.
Last Monday, Lateef pleaded not guilty to one count of possession of illicit drugs where he was allegedly found with 1.2 grams of marijuana.
Lateef was also charged with one count of possession of illicit drugs last year.
In that case, he was allegedly found in possession of 0.0136 grams of methamphetamine.
