A police officer is now recovering at the CWM Hospital after being involved in two road accidents today.

The man was hit by a vehicle at a snap checkpoint along Wainibokasi Road this morning and the ambulance that was taking him to the CWM Hospital tumbled five times along Princes Road in Sawani near the Service Station.

After the accident in Wainibokasi, the police officer was taken to the Nausori Health Center and he was being transferred from there in the ambulance when the incident happened.

The driver that allegedly hit the man in Wainibokasi is being questioned by Police.

According to Police, the driver of the ambulance is alleged to have lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road and tumble five times.

The police officer’s sister also got injured in the accident and is recovering at the CWM Hospital.
