Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama says before the leadership of his government, people in the villages did not see much developments happening like those in Keiyasi.
Bainimarama highlighted this while officially opening the first ever Government Services Expo which is being held at Vatumali Government Station in Keiyasi.
He says they have seen different services provided to people living in the interior and those that are living in the towns and cities and this why Government services have been brought to the doorsteps of the people of Navosa today.
Bainimarama says people leave their homes and villages to get access to these services and to find a better standard of living.
He says when he took over the role of Prime Minister he saw the different services people received.
Bainimarama says this government has treated everyone equally by providing them with these services but the Opposition might regard this as handouts. He says the opposition do not even visit and go and hear concerns raised by the people living in hard to reach areas.
Hundreds of people from across the province of Nadroga/Navosa have gathered at the Vatumali Government Station for expo.
Minister for Transport and Infrastructure Jone Usamate, Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa and other Ministry Permanent Secretaries are also present at the expo.
Students from across the province are also present with more than 50 agencies at the expo.
