Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says that President of the Asian Development Bank, Takehiko Nakao is pleased with Fiji’s organization for the 52nd ADB annual meeting.

Sayed-Khaiyum says his team on the ground have been giving him feedback.

He says that some senior Police Officers went to ADB meeting in Manila last year and to learn things from there.

Meanwhile, Sayed‑Khaiyum also attended some meetings today and highlighted that the meeting in Fiji was an opportunity for the Pacific Island States to not only showcase our friendly cultures and hospitality but also to show the world our capabilities, opportunities and challenges through the conference.

Sayed Khaiyum is Chair of the ADB Board of Governors.

It is a historic moment for Fiji, as this is the first time an ADB annual meeting is being held in a Pacific Island nation.

Close to 3,000 delegates are expected to be part of discussions at this annual meeting that will run till Sunday.
