The Fiji Rugby Union has submitted 37 names to Team Fiji for the Men’s 7s competition and 31 names for the Women’s 7s competition for the upcoming 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa.

The final travelling team of 12 players will be named by the 23rd of this month.

Some of the top players who have been included are series regulars, Jerry Tuwai, Kalione Nasoko, Waisea Nacuqu, Livai Ikanikoda, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Mesulame Kunavula, Aminiasi Tuimaba, Josua Vakurinabili, Paula Dranisinukula, Vilimoni Botitu, Terio Tamani, Meli Derenalagi, and Alasio Naduva.

Other players who have made the 37 member team include, Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Isoa Tabu, Amenoni Nasilasila, and Batinisavu Uluiyata.

In the Women’s 31 member squad some of the top players who have been included are Ana Maria Roqica, Raijeli Daveua, Litia Naiqato, Ana Maria Naimasi, Rusila Nagasau, and Asinate Savu.

A total of 453 athletes have been named to represent Team Fiji in 26 sporting events at the Pacific Games that will be held in July.

The 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa will begin on the 7th of July and continue to the 20th of July.
