Avikash Lal who will be representing Fiji in the 5,000 metres, 10,000 metres and the half marathon race at this year’s Pacific Games says he is determined to win gold medals in all the events he will be taking part in.
Lal who was also the winner of the half marathon at the 2019 Munro Leys Suva Challenge held in Suva today also highlighted that he is preparing well for the games.
Lal says self discipline and being humble is the key to his success.
He participated in the 2017 Mini Pacific Games where he won silver medals in the half marathon and the 5,000 metres events.
A total of 453 athletes have been named to represent Team Fiji in 26 sporting events in the Pacific Games that will be held in Samoa from the 7th to the 20th of July.
